100mm EPS External Wall Insulation 1200mm x 600mm - 0.72m2 per sheet
Sold in packs of 12
100mm EPS External Wall Insulation is a graphite-enhanced expanded polystyrene (EPS) board for external wall insulation (EWI) systems, specified where a wall needs to do better than the Building Regulation minimum rather than simply reach it. At 100mm it holds more thermal resistance than the thinner boards in the range, which suits higher-spec new build, exposed elevations and upgrades built with future standards in mind.
Each board measures 1200mm x 600mm and is supplied 12 boards to a pack for 8.64m² of coverage. It carries a declared thermal conductivity of 0.030 W/mK, the figure published on SPI's datasheet, and a thermal resistance of 3.30 m²K/W*, so the added depth over a 90mm board converts directly into a lower U-value across the wall build-up.
A deeper board can be harder to finish, but graphite EPS cuts cleanly with a hot-wire cutter or fine-tooth saw and rasps back to a true, flat face. That counts at 100mm: the basecoat and reinforcing mesh sit on a level plane, so the render finish stays flat and even rather than following the highs and lows of a thick board. Cutting under cover with a hot-wire tool also keeps bead offcuts down on site.
100mm EPS External Wall Insulation is fitted as part of a complete EWI system: bonded with an adhesive mortar, secured with mechanical fixings sized for the board depth, then rasped level, mesh-reinforced in a basecoat and finished with a thin-coat render. It suits solid brickwork, timber frame and steel frame walls on buildings up to 18m, and should be installed to the system provider's instructions, the Stylite EWI datasheet and the project specification. Reaction to fire, durability and weathering are performance of the finished system, not the board on its own.
Key Benefits of 100mm EPS External Wall Insulation:
- 100mm graphite-enhanced expanded polystyrene (EPS) board for external wall insulation systems.
- Declared thermal conductivity of 0.030 W/mK, the figure published on SPI's datasheet.
- Thermal resistance of 3.30 m²K/W* for the 100mm board.
- Extra depth over a 90mm board for stricter U-value targets and performance margin.
- Suitable for wall applications up to 18m.
- Compatible with adhesive and mechanically fixed EWI systems.
- Suitable for solid brickwork, timber frame and steel frame constructions.
- Cuts with a hot-wire cutter or fine-tooth saw and rasps back to a flat render base.
- Insulates the external face of the wall, reducing the risk of interstitial condensation.
- 100% recyclable, with zero GWP and no CFCs, HCFCs or HFCs.
Good to know:
- Grade: PlusTherm 70: thermal conductivity 0.030 W/mK; compressive strength 70 kPa at 10%.
- Board size 1200mm x 600mm (0.72m²): thickness 100mm; 12 boards per pack (8.64m²).
- Manufactured to BS EN 13163:2012+A2:2016: produced under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified management systems.
- PVC cables must be protected within a suitable conduit to prevent plasticiser migration.
- Store flat on a firm, level base, protected from sunlight and UV exposure.
- Always refer to the Stylite EWI datasheet and system provider's guidance before installing.
When the target U-value sits below what a thinner board can reach, 100mm graphite EPS gives the wall the extra resistance without changing how the system goes on.
