120mm EPS External Wall Insulation 1200mm x 600mm - 0.72m2 per sheet
Sold in packs of 10
120mm EPS External Wall Insulation is a graphite-enhanced expanded polystyrene (EPS) board for external wall insulation (EWI) systems, used where a wall needs a deep insulation layer and the build-up depth becomes part of the design. At 120mm the board projects far enough that window and door reveals, sills, eaves and verge details have to be set out around it, so it tends to be specified on projects where that standoff has been planned in from the start.
Each board measures 1200mm x 600mm and is supplied 10 boards to a pack for 7.20m² of coverage. It carries a declared thermal conductivity of 0.030 W/mK and a thermal resistance of 4.00 m²K/W*, so a single 120mm layer of graphite EPS reaches a level of resistance that standard white EPS only matches at greater thickness.
Fixing a board this deep means longer mechanical anchors, chosen so they still bite properly into the substrate once they have passed through 120mm of insulation. Graphite EPS is light for its depth, so the board itself adds little pull-out demand on those fixings and stays straightforward to lift and position on the scaffold. Setting the anchor length and pattern to the system specification keeps the boards held flat and secure ahead of the basecoat.
120mm EPS External Wall Insulation is installed as part of a complete EWI system: bonded with an adhesive mortar, secured with mechanical fixings sized for the depth, then rasped level, mesh-reinforced in a basecoat and finished with render. It suits solid brickwork, timber frame and steel frame walls on buildings up to 18m, and should be installed to the system provider's instructions, the Stylite EWI datasheet and the project specification, with reveals and beads detailed to take the thickness. Reaction to fire, durability and weathering are properties of the finished system rather than the board alone.
Key Benefits of 120mm EPS External Wall Insulation:
- 120mm graphite-enhanced expanded polystyrene (EPS) board for external wall insulation systems.
- Declared thermal conductivity of 0.030 W/mK, ahead of standard white EPS at the same thickness.
- Thermal resistance of 4.00 m²K/W* for the 120mm board.
- Deep single-layer insulation for walls needing a high level of thermal resistance.
- Suitable for wall applications up to 18m.
- Compatible with adhesive and mechanically fixed EWI systems.
- Suitable for solid brickwork, timber frame and steel frame constructions.
- Light for its depth, keeping handling and fixing pull-out demand manageable at 120mm.
- Insulates the external face of the wall, reducing the risk of interstitial condensation.
- 100% recyclable, with zero GWP and no CFCs, HCFCs or HFCs.
Good to know:
- Grade: PlusTherm 70: thermal conductivity 0.030 W/mK; compressive strength 70 kPa at 10%.
- Board size 1200mm x 600mm (0.72m²): thickness 120mm; 10 boards per pack (7.20m²).
- Manufactured to BS EN 13163:2012+A2:2016: produced under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified management systems.
- PVC cables must be protected within a suitable conduit to prevent plasticiser migration.
- Store flat on a firm, level base, protected from sunlight and UV exposure.
- Always refer to the Stylite EWI datasheet and system provider's guidance before installing.
At 120mm, graphite EPS gives a wall a genuinely deep thermal layer, and with the reveals and fixings set out to take it, it goes on as cleanly as any board in the range.
